GUIDE: CREATE FPRS USING SKETCHUP AND YULIO

This guide outlines the steps you’ll need to follow create a fixed point render (FPR) directly from SketchUp. Once completed, use the output to author Virtual Reality Experiences (VREs) using Yulio!
Getting Started
Before you begin, review this checklist to make sure you’ve got everything you need to get started:
  • SketchUp 2015 or higher
  • A scene that has been authored using SketchUp
  • If using VRay, version 2.00.26494 (adv) or higher
  • Yulio for SketchUp plugin installed
Step 1: Author your scene in SketchUp
Author and prepare your scene for rendering. Check in with the camera positioning and lighting to make sure that your scene is optimized for virtual reality.

Step 2: Begin rendering with Yulio for SketchUp plugin
Once you are ready to render your project, find and click on the Yulio Sketchup plugin from your toolbar or the Extensions menu.
You will be prompted to save your SketchUp file or continue the process without saving the project.
Select between the rendering options.
Once you have selected the rendering preference, you will be prompted to set the file location where you want the rendering to be exported.
Select the scene(s) that you want to include on the rendering.
Wait for the process to be complete. Once the process it done, you may click in Show in Folder to locate the newly rendered image(s).
Step 3: Rendering is complete!

You’ll be notified once the processing is complete. You can then locate the FPR .jpg(s) in the folder location you selected previously. There’ll be one FPR for every scene you selected.
Step 4: Author VREs in Yulio!
Sign in to your account at www.yulio.com to create your VRE using these FPRs. Check out our article on creating VREs for more information!
